With the GVB travel app, you can quickly and easily plan your trips from home to work, restaurants, theaters, hotels, and B&Bs. You can also check for diversions or delays on your route. Plus, you'll always have the most up-to-date departure times for your favorite lines right at your fingertips. And now, you can even purchase a barcode ticket for immediate travel.
Here's what the GVB travel app offers:
- Up-to-date travel information: You'll always have the most reliable and up-to-date travel information for the GVB network as well as all other public transport companies in the Netherlands.
- Trip planner: Easily plan your trips to any address in Amsterdam or anywhere else in the Netherlands.
- Alert for disruptions: Receive notifications for diversions or disruptions on your favorite lines. You can personalize this feature for specific days and time periods.
- Crowd indicator: See how busy a service is expected to be in each travel advice you request.
- Bicycle as before and after transport: Specify whether you'll start or end your trip with a bicycle under your travel preferences.
- Travel only with GVB: If you have a GVB travel product and only want to use GVB lines, you can easily set this preference.
- Save favorites: Save your favorite locations in Amsterdam with just one click, making it even easier to plan your next trip.
- In-app ticket purchase: Buy tickets directly through the app and activate them immediately for a hassle-free travel experience. You can check in and out using your mobile device.

- Unique Touch Swipe planner: This personalized trip planner allows you to swipe from your current location, favorite location, or any other set location to the key places of interest in the city. Your trip will be planned instantly, and you can easily personalize your destinations by selecting from a list of main locations in Amsterdam and its surroundings.
- Personal dashboard based on your travel profile: Access key functions for your travel profile directly from your main screen. For example, if you primarily use the app for commuting, you'll find your regular route conveniently displayed in your dashboard, ensuring you always have up-to-date departure times at hand.
